THE COLLABORATION
Artist Edition #4 brings Lin Utzon’s long-running COSMIC DANCE project into the Sittingsuits universe as a limited wearable art collaboration. Utzon’s precise visual language meets a functional form that changes as it is worn and moves through the landscape.
The collaboration was first previewed in Copenhagen in connection with the presentation of Utzon’s COSMIC DANCE sculptures at Ofelia Plads. Each print was produced in a limited edition of 50 pieces.
THE ARTIST
Lin Utzon is a Danish artist whose practice spans painting, works on paper, ceramics, sculpture, stage design and architectural commissions. Her work has been exhibited internationally and includes collaborations with institutions such as the Royal Danish Ballet.
Across media, Utzon explores the relationship between structure and movement, often finding rhythm in the tension between controlled lines and the changing forms of the natural world.
THE ARTWORK
COSMIC DANCE is rooted in the idea of nature as a continuous process of movement and transformation. Monochromatic lines, architectural precision and organic rhythm meet across the Sittingsuit surface.
As the piece is worn, the composition changes with the body, allowing the artwork to continue its dance beyond the original format.
