THE COLLABORATION
BLUE BIRD marks the first wearable art collaboration between Sittingsuits and Argentinian artist Florencia Galán Camps. Her expressive birds and botanical forms bring colour, warmth and movement to a Sittingsuit created for long moments outdoors.
The collaboration allows the artwork to move beyond a fixed image. Plants, birds and colour fields change with the wearer and become part of the surrounding landscape.
THE ARTIST
Florencia Galán Camps is an Argentinian visual artist whose work moves between botanical imagery and abstraction. Raised in a home of architects and artists, she grew up surrounded by structure, materials and creative process.
She is also trained as a historian, with academic work focused on nineteenth- and twentieth-century history. That analytical background informs her thinking, while the paintings themselves remain intuitive, emotional and closely connected to nature.
THE ARTWORK
Galán Camps describes her botanical compositions as “floras”: living forms shaped by feeling, memory and daily experience. Nature becomes a language through which colour, rhythm and movement can unfold.
BLUE BIRD carries that language across the Sittingsuit surface, balancing structure with spontaneity and allowing the painted forms to feel both grounded and in motion. Artist Edition #13 was produced as a limited edition of 200 pieces.
